Microphone Testing Best Practices

  • The quality of your mic plays an important role here. If you have a built-in microphone then that should do. Otherwise, invest in a good quality mic.

  • Choose a place that less noisy. Go for a room with fewer windows so that you’ve lesser disturbance from any external noise.

  • While holding a microphone, make sure you hold it 5-6 inches from your mouth. Just the exact distance, any closer or further away might be too loud or too feeble.

  • Use headphones if you think you want to hear your voice and check if the flow is okay. Using good set headphones is always a good idea.
